There are no huge movies this weekend thanks to Halloween falling on a Saturday, a prime movie night. But Movie Mom did like 'Our Brand is Crisis' based on a true story and starring Sandra Bullock.

'Our Brand is Crisis' is based on a documentary with the same name. I love based on true story movies - and this is one of those. Sandra Bullock plays the lead character of a political strategist, that was originally meant for George Clooney. I like them both so much. Movie Mom says Bullock's performance is one of the best this year!

Then there is 'Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse'. To quote Movie Mom, "You're on your own.'

And then the 'disappointing' 'Burnt' starring Bradley Cooper as a chef trying to make a comeback. Great food porn, lousy script.

On DVD this week, she says grab 'Toy Story of Terror' because the two new DVDs aren't very good. There's Adam Sandler's horrible 'Pixels' and Jack Gyllenhaal's 'Southpaw' which was a very typical boxing movie. Rent 'Rocky' instead (remember, best inspirational music ever)!
