The "Love Locks" trend has been happening across country and the world for several years. The one in Portland was started by 3 women after an alcohol-related discussion at Gritty's. When Father's Day came along, doing this felt like the perfect thing for my kids and me. Didn't cost anything and would be really memorable. Here are some pics from our Father's Day fun.

I did not want or expect gifts from my little people for Father's Day. The adorable little crafts they make at school are perfect. However, I have to admit, the "love locks" in Portland are very cool. It's something to remember for a long time. My kids and I wrote our name on a lock, except for our dog Elvis (we did it for him) drove into town on the beautiful day yesterday and picked out a spot on the fence for our lock. For something that was cheap and easy to do; it really made my day and much more! The fence is filling up fast so I'd get down there soon if you're interested in doing it, too.
