Nonesuch River Brewing Company Opens New Location in Poland, Maine

Nonesuch River Brewing Company opened its restaurant and brewery in Scarborough in 2017 to much success. Now they're building on that success with a new location in Poland, Maine, with the purchase of another successful restaurant.

Cyndi Robbins and her late husband Mel bought the Poland Spring Resort in the 1970s. Mel passed away in 2007, and that's when the former Flying Lobster Restaurant was purchased and renamed Cyndi's Dockside Restaurant.

It also was very successful, not only as a restaurant but as a boathouse, docks, and gas pumps for boaters.

An announcement was made on Cyndi's Dockside's Facebook page, announcing Nonesuch would be taking over as the new owner, and Cyndi made sure everyone knew that nothing would change. All the staff and the docks, boathouse, and gas sales would remain, and at some point, it would be renamed Nonesuch Dockside.

It's been five months since the announcement of the change in ownership, and Nonesuch has now opened with draft beer delivered from the brewery in Scarborough and a lot of the same items you'll see on Scarbrough's menu, with some new items from the chefs in Poland.

They're open Wednesday through Sunday, 11:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Don't get confused if you show up and still see the Cyndi's Dockside sign. It's Nonecsuch, but they're working on a new sign.

I'm really happy to see that Nonesuch River Brewing has taken the time to make sure everything from Cyndi's Dockside is as it was, with some great new additions.
