February 23rd through March 1st was National Eating Disorder Awareness Week, and our very own street teamer Michelle Twomey was at the forefront of getting the word out by sharing her struggle with anorexia for seven years. If you've ever been out to one of our events you've more than likely seen Michelle.

In an interview with WCSH 6, Michelle spoke about how the support from her friends and family are what made her seek the treatment she needed and ultimately allowed her to win the battle and become healthy and happy again.

If you or someone you know needs help with an eating disorder such as anorexia, bulimia or binge eating, WCSH has put together a list of symptoms to look for and places to seek help.

Everyone here at the Q is proud of Michelle for beating anorexia and for sharing her story so that maybe someone else might seek the help that they need.
