You know those trophies kids get just for participating in something? Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison took away his kids participation trophies recently and explained why in a post on Instagram.

I have to say, I'm on board with him on this one. The "everyone's a winner" approach to things with kids just isn't how things work in the real world.

It's clear that Harrison loves his kids dearly, and wants them to learn how to achieve things in life with hard work and always striving to do better.

There are many who don't agree however. Where do you stand on this? Should all kids who participate get trophies or do you stand behind James Harrison returning his kids' trophies because they didn't earn them? Let us know in the comments below or on Facebook or Twitter.
