Portland, Maine, Favorite Named One of the Best Seafood Restaurants in the Nation

There are many reasons people come each year to visit Maine. For some, it's the slower pace of life that is appealing. For others, it's the coastline and beaches that keeps drawing them in. But one of the key reasons people keep returning is the food in Vacationland. Specifically, the fresh seafood, which makes determining which seafood restaurant in the state is the best nearly impossible.

Eventide's popularity is well-known in Portland, with lines for the restaurant often wrapping around the building during the height of tourism season. Despite the restaurant being on the smaller side, people just can't seem to get enough, and for good reason.

Eventide always features a rotating offering of fresh, local Maine oysters. They also have other fresh seafood on ice, like Maine crab claws. Additional seafood favorites like stews and chowders are on the menu for those that want their seafood in soup.
