The Oldest Restaurant in Maine

Good places to eat come and go, but very few are still in business 88 years later in Maine. In fact there's only one restaurant in Maine that has been around that long. 

According to Thrillist's list of the oldest restaurants in every state, the oldest restaurant in Maine is the Palace Diner in Biddeford.

They opened their doors for the first time in 1927 at 18 Franklin Street and are still going strong into 2015.

There's nothing like a good old fashioned diner. I love eating in places like this and just imagining was it was like all those years ago. A time when you had to put a sign outside that read "Ladies Invited." Times sure have changed.
