"Restaurant Impossible" has come and gone from Uncle Andy's diner in South Portland. I went for lunch to check out the new digs. And guess what - it's nice!

But they are completely overwhelmed! It's one of those good news bad news things. They have been uh, you know the saying..things to the walls. It's been a blessing, but hard to keep up. When the Q Morning Show came before the make-over, the owner Dennis Fogg chatted it up, did a little video with us and hung out. He doesn't have that luxury anymore.

This time I watched Dennis run from the back of the house - to the grill - to the front of the house and all while juggling about 700 things! They are asking for your patience as they deal with crowds they haven't seen in years. I was thrilled for them.

Now... about how the place looks. They kept some of the charm that makes it Uncle Andy's, and modernized it. And I can't show you. Uncle Andy's asked that we don't reveal the look until the show airs. Good news, it airs tonight tonight at 10 p.m. on the Food Network.

In the meantime, here's what I can tell and show you. They still do specialty pancakes and I requested one!

Yes, they let me get by the grill to take the picture. Even in their craziness! And guess what...delicious.  Yes, I ate the Q!
