Amanda Wrobel from Lisbon Falls lost all but three of her pets and is in serious condition with 40% of her body burned. She was burned while trying to save her beloved pets from a house fire...the community is now trying to help Amanda.

Reading this story brought tears to my eyes as I could imagine Amanda desperately trying to save her pets...her family. She has touched so many people in the community who have reached out to us for help. This is Carey - a friend and co-worker of Amanda's at the Androscoggin Animal Hospital

I have been listening to your show almost every morning since I was in the 6th grade. I always appreciate your light-hearted nature of the show, especially in the early mornings. In the 13 years I have been listening to you guys I have never called to win a prize, or requested a song but today I am reaching out to you for help. On Saturday Oct. 15th, my co-worker and good friend Amanda Wrobel lost her home and almost all of her beloved pets to a house fire. She is currently in the hospital being treated for severe burns that cover 40% of her body. She sustained these injuries trying to get her babies out. She is a great technician at Androscoggin Animal Hospital in Topsham. She has dedicated her life to not only her pets, but the pets of our clients and the bond they have with their owners. The amount of support we have received from the community already has been incredible. It just goes to show how many lives Amanda has touched, and what a positive impact she has had in the animal community.
This weekend (the 22nd and 23rd) we are holding a benefit yard sale / bake sale at the clinic where all funds will be going to Amanda and her recovery. I was hoping that you would be able to maybe just mention something on the air to draw a crowd! If this is something that is possible we would appreciate it more than you could know.
Thank you so much for your time.
Amanda has obviously touched many lives....and there are several ways to help Amanda recover from her injuries and her loss...
