29 New COVID-19 Recoveries in Maine and Second Death in Two Days

According to the the Maine CDC's Friday update, the cumulative number of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Maine is now at 5,865, an increase of 29 since Thursday. 5,243 of those cases are confirmed while 622 are deemed probable.

There was one new death reported of an individual with COVID-19, bringing the total to 144. 464 patients have had to be hospitalized at some point. 11 are currently hospitalized with 5 in intensive care and one on a ventilator.

5,099 people diagnosed with COVID-19 have recovered, an increase of 29 since Thursday. The total number of diagnosed active cases of COVID-19 is 621, a decrease of 1.

Governor Mills has extended the State of Emergency in Maine through October 29, allowing Maine to continue to receive federal funding and use available resources to respond to COVID-19.

An executive order remains in place requiring large retail stores, lodging, restaurants, outdoor bars and tasting rooms to enforce the state's face covering requirement.
