3 Things I Learned the Hard Way You Should Never Leave in a Freezing Car in New England
Well, I'll be honest, I had to find out the hard way that these 3 items don't play well with a freezing cold car overnight. If you're a New Englander, you've probably curated a list of items you've accidentally froze of your very own because no matter how many winters you're used to, there's always room for accidents. Here's mine.
1. Eggs.
I figured my car would act like a garage and be cold enough it would act like a fridge, but the following morning I found 12 exploded little guys. Oops.
Can you leave eggs in your car over night if it's cold enough outside?
The short answer is No. According to alaskan, eggs exposed to extremely cold temperatures will tend to freeze and their shell will crack.
2. Perfume.
While perfume has alcohol content in it keeping it from freezing over, according to belayered.com, the intense temperature can alter the scent or consistency.
Will the perfume go bad if I leave it in a freezing car?
Apparently, according to perfumemania.com, the cooler the storage condition, the longer it will last! And no, cologne doesn't freeze either. Tell your man.
3. Spray Bleach.
Can't a girl just try to clean her damn house without it exploding in her car overnight? True story. Don't do it.
