60-Year-Old Maine Woman Gets Stuck Way Up in Tree Trying to Save Her Cat! I Mean Way Up! [PHOTOS]

A woman in her 60's from Presque Isle, got stuck in a tree trying to rescue her cat. But oops, she got stuck and had to be rescued!

This poor woman was afraid that the poor cat would starve or be thirsty, so she decided to climb the tree. But when she realized how high she had climbed (75 FEET!), she had to call the fire department! Yes, she had her cellphone with her!

She did tell the fire department that she wasn't coming down without the cat. Her plan was to put it in the duffle bag she dragged up there. The cat was hissing and scratching and had no interest in going with her.

She agreed to be rescued first, and the cat second. They actually had a hard time finding her among the branches and treetops!

The fire department wants to let people know not to climb trees after animals, and that cats normally will come out of trees when they get hungry. Plus, firefighters normally don't rescue animals from trees. Ya know, they have fires to put out and stuff.
