80s Prom for Adults is Happening Friday at Amigo’s in Portland

Party like it’s 1989 this Friday, June 10th at Amigos in Portland, Maine! This event is all to benefit the Maine Cancer Foundation and the Tri for a Cure. This year marks the 15th annual Tri for a Cure, an all-female triathlon and the largest in the country. All the money raised stays right here in Maine to help fight cancer.

And perhaps you’re not an athlete, but you are a lover of all things 80s. The 80s prom is the perfect opportunity to help out a great cause and maybe dust off those vintage Reeboks. Yes, even for a prom.

You don't have to go formal 80s if you can’t find a dress with puffy enough sleeves. This event is all about fun and memories. Or, if you weren’t around in the 80s, think of it like a Stranger Things party. Minus the upside-down, of course.

Tease that hair sky-high, ladies. And gentlemen, time to find some old-school Don Johnson-style shades. Maybe a George Michaels earring to match.

There will be incredible 80s music to dance to all night long and by the end of the night, a King and a Queen will be crowned!
