I've said this a lot lately, that Portland, Maine has been put on the map a ton in the last few years until I realized the other day..maybe we were already on the map. Apparently the map started in 2015 on ABC's television show called Shark Tank, when not only 1 episode aired from Portland, but 4 more followed.

Some of you reading this probably remembered those episodes, while others, like myself, are just finding this out right now. As a true millennial, I don't have cable at home, only Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, Youtube Tv, and let's be honest, Disney Plus. So I never watched these episodes live or really even knew they happened. However older episodes of Shark Tank are played on Hulu which is how I made the discovery of these local episodes last night.

Turns out according to portlandpressherald, 5 Maine natives competed on the show after  a casting call for our area was put out back in 2015. These are the companies of the contestants that pitched their business module, and if they scored a deal or not.
