Hocus Pocus (1993) took the world by storm and is still a very popular film today. One of the best things about it though is that it was filmed right in New England. Remember learning about the Salem Witch Trials? Well, I'm sure you guessed it, Hocus Pocus brought the three iconic witches to Salem, MA.

The Sanderson sisters are back, and Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker are ready to put a spell on us once more. Granted the first movie was filmed in various locations in Salem, MA, the second movie was not. Filmmakers did bring Winifred, Mary, and Sarah back to New England for filming, but this time they were in Rhode Island.

Although Hocus Pocus 2 was filmed in Rhode Island, a set was created to make us feel as though the film was being shot in Salem, MA.

According to Entertainment WeeklyHocus Pocus 2 will pick up almost 30 years after the first film. Winnie, Sarah, and Mary seek revenge as they awaken in present-day Salem and three teenagers must find a way to stop them.

Of course, there will be more dancing in the movie. How could Disney not add a scene where there will be uncontrollable dancing, especially after Hocus Pocus' "I'll Put a Spell on You?"

Well, I do not know about you, but after being teased on October 31, 2021, I am ready for this movie to come out.

According to People, on Tuesday, April 17th, Disney announced the release date for Hocus Pocus 2. The film will be making its way to Disney+ on Friday, September 30th.
