An Ice Cream Shop Is Bringing A Taste Of Disney World To Portland

You've likely heard that Disney World is the "happiest place on Earth". There can be a lot of reasons for that depending on who you ask. The magic, the characters, the rides...and the FOOD! One of the sweet treats that has been made famous at Disney is Dole Whip. And now, Lib's Dairy Treats in Portland plans to serve it as part of their menu this spring and summer.

Dole Whip was created in 1986 as a dairy-free alternative to ice cream. The original flavor was pineapple (because Dole was known for their pineapple juice) and since then, several new flavors have evolved. Dole Whip now comes in Mango, Lemon, Orange, Raspberry, Strawberry and Lime.

Lib's Dairy Treats shared the news on their Facebook page and for Disney fanatics, it instantly made their day. There's few things more delicious on this planet than a Dole Whip Float on a warm summer evening. Just don't tell Mickey or Minnie that you're not visiting their Magic Kingdom in Florida to get it.

By the way, Lib's Dairy Treats opens for the season on March 9th.
