I was reading an article today on the Ranker about how animals that you would not usually see are reclaiming the land all over the world because humans are not outside nearly as often.

A light bulb went off because although Maine is a place where wildlife thrives, I have seen more animals out in my yard as of late in Cape Elizabeth.

The Neighborhood watch email has reported sightings of Fisher Cats, not just one but an entire family.

I am now getting daily visits from Wild Turkeys, and A whole family of dear were in the road the other night, not even frightened that my truck was coming.

And last but not least, owls during daylight hours.

These are normal animals for us to see in New England, just more frequently.
