Aroma Joe’s Opens Its Second Location in Saco, Maine

Aroma Joe's drive-thru coffee shops have been on a spree of opening stores throughout New England since 2012 and they're showing no signs of stopping with the opening of their second location in Saco.

Aroma Joe's Beginnings

According to Aroma Joe's Wikipedia entry, four cousins founded the drive-thru-only coffee shop in 2000 in East Rochester, New Hampshire. It quickly became a success, and in 2012, the owners started to franchise the brand, and then it really took off.

Today, there are over 100 locations across four states in New England, as well as New York, Pennsylvania, and Florida. Their headquarters are right here in Portland, Maine. where there are more Aroma Joe's locations than Starbucks.

Not Just Coffee

I'm not a coffee fan myself, but I do love a good energy drink and Aroma Joe's created their own and named it, cleverly, AJ's Rush. It's available in 12-ounce cans and can be found in stores. It comes in two versions, regular and sugar-free.

Aroma Joe's also has over half a dozen flavors of energy drinks at their drive-throughs including Blue Hawaiian, Sweet-N-Tart, and Green Alien, though I'm not sure exactly what that one is. I'm curious though.

Second Saco Aroma Joe's Now Open

The first Aroma Joe's to open in Saco is at 1 Moody Street, just off Route 1. Saco's second location just opened two miles away from the first at 933 Portland Road, just down the road from Aquaboggan Water Park.

Swing in and grab yourself a cup of joe or an energy drink. They're open 4:30 am to 10 pm seven days a week.
