Auburn’s New IHOP is Almost Ready To Open Their Doors [PHOTOS]

The excitement has been building in Auburn ever since it was announced in May that IHOP was coming to Auburn. Now the new location has an opening date. 

When the announcement was made in May that IHOP would be coming to the former TGIFriday's location on Turner Street near the Auburn Mall, a opening date was tentatively planned for September 1. Now we have a firm date of October 13th for the grand opening.

The IHOP franchise owner said back in May that if the Auburn IHOP is successful, he may open up to five more in Maine. Auburn and South Portland are currently the only IHOP's in the state.

With a $300,000 renovation of the old TGIFriday's building almost complete, the doors will be ready to open on October 13. You can see the renovation process on the Auburn IHOP Facebook page.

UPDATE: The October 13th opening date has been postponed due to some delays in construction. A new opening date is slated for the week of Oct 19th. We will update when we have an exact date and time. You can also follow Auburn IHOP on Facebook for announcements.
