Boothbay’s Gardens Aglow is Shifting to a Drive-Through for 2020
One of the fastest-growing Christmastime traditions here in Maine is making the trip to Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens for Gardens Aglow located in Boothbay.
Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is a whimsical and magic sight to see in the warmer months with beautiful gardens filled with greens and pops of color with every flower you can imagine. Stone paths, ponds, and sculptures add to the experience.
Wintertime and gardens don't exactly mix. This is why Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens introduced Gardens Aglow 6 short years ago, utilizing their space for magnificent light displays.
With COVID-19, 2020 will be different. This year the experience will be a drive-through.
To keep things running smoothly they will be hosting fewer visitors. According to the Boothbay Register, they will have 50-car limits and timed-ticketing intervals of 15 minutes. They expect 1,000 cars per night as opposed to 2,200 a night like in previous years.
Ticketing information will be available soon and with the now limited capacity, you'll want to get them quickly! Tickets will be sold by car and not by individuals.
