River Tap and Grill in Hollis, Maine, Offering Boozy Coffee Flights
I'm not sure when "flights" became a thing at bars and restaurants, but today they're all the rage. If you aren't familiar with a flight, you either don't drink or have never been to a place serving flights.
Flight of Beers
My girlfriend Michele is all about the flights when we go to breweries, tap houses, and the like. It's a sampler, where you choose four types of alcohol from the menu, be it beer, wine, cider, margaritas, or whatever. You're then served your drinks on what looks like a paddle with four divots to hold your small glasses of beverages.
Flight of Boozy Coffee?
The Salmon Falls Country Club is an 18-hole golf course in Hollis, Maine, and is home to the River Tap & Grill which is located inside the clubhouse.
Someone there came up with a brilliant idea to offer other types of alcoholic beverages besides your standard beer, wine, and mixed drinks like margaritas. In November they started to serve boozy coffee flights. That's right. Four choices of coffee-flavored beverages with a bit more of a kick than you would expect.
Flavors Upon Flavors
Check out this boozy coffee flight that was offered a few weeks ago. Four flavors were selected on this flight including strawberry shortcake, lemon meringue, hazelnut smores, and blueberry cobbler.
These feel more like a dessert flight than a boozy coffee flight, but it sure does sound good!
If you want to check out their boozy coffee flights, head to River Tap & Grill at 52 Golf Course Land, in Hollis, but do it now. Who knows how long these boozy coffee flights will be around?
