It's a literal cardboard box race!

Oh, Maine, you never seem to surprise me and I love it.

Hailing straight out of exactly where you'd expect it to, Bridgton, Maine, where you quite literally bring your own decorated cardboard box and race it down a snowy terrain against other box racers.

You can even form your own teams and race other teams. Classic.

This reminds me of the giant pumpkin races up in Damariscotta that Mainers also love to participate in during the fair season.

There are a few things that are worth mentioning now so that you can start planning ahead of time like gathering your team (up to 4) together and making a really cool name.

And according to their Facebook event page, this year's theme is called "The Golden Era," meaning you can wear your cool retro onesie we all have in the back of our closets with no excuse to break them out.

OH! I almost forgot, they have tons of cool prizes for the most unique-looking cardboard box so keep that in mind as you're planning.
