Sometimes living in the city, I forget just how much nature surrounds me in Maine. New Hampshire has it's share of wilderness as well. And, the Carroll Police Department got a 'furry' call yesterday, and saved some wildlife.

A mama bear just had some babies in Bretton Woods, and decided to go out for a stroll on a road yesterday with the family. Officers were called after 2 of the cubs couldn't keep up with mama because they were too weak. The Carroll police swooped in for the rescue, and took the two 'runts of the liter' to Fish & Game for rehabilitation. Here are the pictures captured during this save and rescue. Oh, and a friendly reminder, don't 'evah' touch baby animals in the wild.
