According to a post on their Facebook page, the decision has been made to transition the traditional fair into a smaller, exhibit only, agricultural fair for 2020.

They delayed making any concrete decision for as long as possible in hopes that the nationwide coronavirus pandemic situation would improve.  Sadly, that has not happened.  So, over concerns about public health, the decision was made to run the scaled-back version of the fair.

Their plan is to host a small agricultural fair in September.  Additionally, they are planning several virtual events showcasing their vendors.  Keep an eye on their Facebook page for more details.

An annual event since 1818, the 202 annual years (including 2020) of the fair make it the nation's oldest consecutively running agricultural fair.

The hope is for the full fair to return August 12th through August 21st of 2021
