Chaos in a Maine Snowstorm: The Story of High-Speed Snowmobiles, 2 Rogue Dogs and a Panic Attack

Chaos is exactly what it is. Luckily I thrive in chaotic settings or this one would have ruined me LOL.

Here's the story of how a cozy little day over the weekend while we got pummeled with snow turned into the most hilariously un-hinged evenings of my entire life.

How many inches of snow did Maine get February 14th-16th?

Per usual, all different areas of the state saw different amounts of snow anywhere from 1 inch up to 16.

According to portlandpressherald, southern Maine saw up to 12 inches this past weekend which is what you need to envision as I tell you what happens next.

Since snow storms are the perfect time to clean your house all day, that's exactly what I was doing with my headphones in until I look out the window to see my boyfriend chasing both of our dogs who decided they were going to run into the main road he lives off of.

Snowmobile trails in Maine

The area across the street is the beginning of a snowmobiling trail so they typically come ripping into the roads and down the hill without looking around the way they probably should.

This time was no different and the dogs go chasing after the high-speed snowmobiles.

At this point I run outside in my underwear in fight or flight mode because nobody cleans in real clothes, let's be honest.

Now there's two grown adults running down a hill in a foot of snow screaming at a zebra painted golden doodle who already looks like a wild animal, and a baby German Shepard who both think we're just playing.

This went on for about an hour before one of the kind snowmobilers noticed what was going on and lead them both back to the house. We must have looked insane.

The neighbors texted us to ask if we were okay because the whole thing was caught on their ring camera and let me tell you, now that everybody is okay? I'll be sending that into Americas Funniest Home Videos. I need a martini. Excuse me.
