We're big fans of Keith Carson. He's great and answering those questions we all wonder about the weather in his Brain Drops segment on News Center Now, and he recently tackled the question of what a warm fall might mean for our weather this winter.

Predicting the weather with 100% certainty is pretty much impossible because there are so many variables that can affect weather patterns. Predicting months in advance is almost like throwing darts a board while blindfolded, but people still are curious about what we might be in store for.

Farmer's Almanacs claim to have these types of predictions down, but don't divulge how they come up with their predictions. So WCSH 6's Keith Carson decided to look into it the best way any meteorologist can, by looking at history.
