Time is up for another business in the Portland area. Easy Day bowling alley and restaurant is set to close their doors this Sunday, October 6th with rumors swirling that it will eventually transform into a new location for Sea Dog Brewing Company.

Easy Day took to Facebook in the early morning hours on Saturday to announce that this weekend would be their last operational weekend and that "big things" were planned for the future of the space. They did not make mention in their post what patrons should do if they have promotional or gift certificates and can't make it to the business this weekend.

If Easy Day does eventually transform into a Sea Dog Brewing Company, it would be Sea Dog's most unique space to date. Their brewpub locations typically are home to live entertainment throughout the week, but none of their other brewpubs have a bowling alley attached.

Easy Day was credited with beginning a revitalization of the small South Portland neighborhood it inhabits. Several new businesses have popped up since Easy Day's opening. For some in this area, the closure will come as a major surprise.

As of this writing, there was no official announcement of what Easy Day will become and when it will reopen under a new name.
