Enjoy Drag & Science? Boston Museum Offers Virtual 18+ Show
I thought I had seen everything, and then I got a Facebook notification that the Museum of Science, Boston had an event coming up that I might be interested in.
Starved for anything even resembling an event these days I clicked to check it out.
Apparently, the Museum of Science in Boston has a program called SubSpace which focuses on adult programming for those over the age of 18 as an educational alternative to traditional nightlife.
They've taken SubSpace: Adult Programs After Dark online and it's free for anyone interested.
Thursday's event is not like one I had ever seen, Coleslaw's Corner: Science in Drag.
Did I read that right? A science-centric drag show?
Sure did. Now, full disclosure, I've never been to a drag show but I never would have imagined it being an educational experience.
Thursday is the premiere event (yes, it appears there will be more than one) features "Coleslaw" being joined by an individual from the Charles Hayden Planetarium where they will discuss "space, our universe and the cosmos above us," according to the Facebook event page.
The series promises to give viewers experts in their respective fields, a Q&A session, games, surprises, and laughs.
For those 21+ they even have a themed drink to make at home while you enjoy the show. For this show in particular they have "The Chromatica". For the recipe, details, and to register, click here.
