While everyone is talking about the coronavirus, apparently people are still sending white powder in the mail.

An envelope was sent to the Department of Homeland Security in South Portland on Monday, March 9, and the building was evacuated, according to News Center Maine.

Thankfully the spokesman for the South Portland Fire Department said the powder was "tested for biologics and found to be non-hazardous," the news station reported.

Apparently, people think sending fake anthrax through the mail, especially when the entire country is experiencing a high state of anxiety is funny.

Seriously, who does that? And why?

There are currently no suspects at this time.
