This peculiar shaped house in Biddeford is surrounded by rental units and parking lots. In it's prime, the home was a beaming example of architectural creativity and one of many octagon houses in Biddeford. Today, this is the only one that remains.

90 Hill Street, Biddeford

According to MaineMemory.net, "The Octagon House, 90 Hill Street, was built about 1850 by George Washington Pierson as the result of the teaching by the famous phrenologist, Orson Fowler, that an eight-sided house got more benefit from sunlight than a four-sided house."

The property was last listed for sale in 2013 and the listing said it needed extensive work.
