One of the best things to happen to deli bags at Hannaford Supermarkets was when they started using Ziploc bags. Now it's easy to just have a couple of slices of meat or cheese and seal the bag up again easily, instead of doing that fold it over kinda thing hoping it stays fresh.

However, I've seen photos on social media more times than I can count, of people who have ripped their bag trying to take off the "sealed fresh in our deli" stickers that are placed on them that hold the opening securely against the bag. I'm here to tell you that with a little patience and care, you can pull those stickers off without ripping the bag.

Right now Michele is on a Wunderbar bologna addiction. I don't know why, and I don't ask questions. So we get deli meat with every trip to the grocery store and I haven't ripped a bag yet since I slowed my roll.

There are two ways to make sure you don't rip your bag. The first is to just take your time and gently lift the sticker a little bit at a time. If you slowly work it off the bag, it will come off without a problem.

If the first method doesn't work and that sticker won't budge, grab a pair of scissors and gently lift up the edge of the opening of the bag near where the sticker is, just enough to get under the sticker and slowly cut it in half. Now with the sticker in two pieces still stuck to the bag, you can open and seal the bag without any problems. I've done this several times and it works like a charm, I just don't have the video of it.

So remember, patience! I know you want that bologna sandwich right now, but take your time and you'll get better at opening the bags without ripping them each time.
