Now, I want to start off by saying that I understand that if you are not from New England then you may not pronounce some places correctly. I get that. However, this is just ridiculous.

Scrolling through TikTok, I came across a video that just made me cringe. Arianna, who goes by cheeseh8r on TikTok, created a video that has been starting to gain some traction due to the ridiculous mispronunciations in the video.

Others have been dueting and stitching this TikTok, and honestly, I had the same reactions as them.

Now, I warn you that if you enjoy going to Cape Cod, eating a lobster roll, or carnations, then you may get offended by this video. Okay, maybe not actually offended, but you will either laugh or be shocked by what you hear. You can watch the video below.

"Cah-pay Cod," really? Is that what we are calling Cape Cod now? That's just the beginning of the video too, it just keeps getting worse. Again, I understand that people can mispronounce things, but this is just plain ridiculous.

I mean come on, does she really not know what a lobster roll is? "Dead seafood sandwich," I mean come on! It did make me laugh a bit though (as did the Charlie Card).

Is this video created as a joke? I do not know, but all I can do is hope that it was made to make people laugh. I honestly do believe it could have been a cruel joke due to the fact that Arianna is actually from Medford, MA.

I am just waiting for when a tourist sees this video and actually believes that these are the correct pronunciations. I mean, would we actually correct them or just laugh?
