It’s Things Like This That Make Me Glad I Have a Security Camera at My Door
I've had my Nest camera for about a year now. It comes in handy to see when packages are delivered, when someone arrives home, when animals wander through my yard, and when morning show hosts dressed like Santa show up at my door after I specifically told them not to.
After 20 years of working with Lori, you would think that I would have learned that when I tell Lori specifically not to do something, she's going to go ahead and do it anyway. In this case, she even got Meghan Thee New Hire in on it.
Lori and Meghan were going to Windham to play Secret Santa, giving out $100 bills to unsuspecting people to bring a little joy to them during the holiday season. Since they were going to be in my neighborhood, Lori said she and Meghan were going to stop by and I said, "No you're not." I was completely ignored.
Just as I sat down in my chair with my Slanket on to eat my lunch and watch an old episode of Late Night With David Letterman with the late Kirstie Allie as a guest, my Nest notification told me someone was in the driveway. I pull up the live video and this is what I saw.
My chair is just right next to the door and these two knuckleheads were peering in like peeping toms with one of them wearing a Santa suit. I didn't bother to get up. I just threatened to call the police and kept eating my lunch.
