Decade-Long Search Ends: Maine Shelter Reunites Cat With Owners

Last week, the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland happily announced the reunion of a lost cat with its family after a remarkable 10-year separation, according to WGME.

This is such an exciting post to come across because it's very rare that a family is reunited with their beloved missing pet. Especially after so many years.

It was posted on the shelters Facebook page that after a decade of uncertainty and anticipation, Rose Dorian joyfully reunited with her long-lost cat, Stewart. This happened last week at the ARLGP.

How did they become reunited? Well, a very kind member of the public brought Stewart in, and the dedicated cat team at the Portland shelter discovered his microchip, which in turn led them straight to Rose!

The special moment was posted and celebrated. My favorite part? The embrace! That special moment when they were able to hug each other again. Rose then introduced her beautiful cat to her song.
