An iconic Augusta brewery is set to join the ever-expanding scene in downtown Waterville this fall. Cushnoc Brewing is prepping to open Cushnoc Cantina, according to Central Maine. This is a new restaurant and bar on the first floor of the Colby College residence hall at 150 Main Street, as per the article.

Cushnoc has three locations in Augusta. Tobias Parkhurst is one of the five partners in Cushnoc, and they announced that the cantina will seat about 80 people and have a full kitchen and bar. The menu will offer tacos and other dishes made with fresh, local ingredients.

Tobias said that the new restaurant will only enhance the scene and not compete with any of the already-existing businesses.

I have personally visited Cushnoc Brewery here in Augusta many times, and love it. The drinks, food, and staff are great, but the ambience and bathroom décor is second to none. Yes, I said bathroom décor. Here's what I mean.

Hilarious, isn't it? So while the tacos and beers at the new Cushnoc Cantina in Waterville are definitely amazing, I can't help but wonder if they'll bring some of that legendary bathroom flair with them! After all, it’s not just about food and drinks, but the full Cushnoc experience!

Cushnoc dares to be different, and that is what I am sure they will bring to their new location. It's like the Mona Lisa of restrooms, with unexpected treasures that make you forget why you went in there in the first place. It's so funny that you might find yourself lingering a bit longer, just to take it all in!

According to the article, Cushnoc Cantina will not serve pizza, as Waterville already has many options for that.

Tobias says,

We want to offer people a high-quality experience, We want to be complementary and not competitive.

This is going to be so exciting, and we can't wait for the official opening!
