‘Baked On Maine’ Goes Viral for Ditching AI and Drawing Instead

In a world where AI seems to be writing everything for us, there's one Maine restaurant that is taking things pretty old school and it's refreshing.

A pen, paper and a very talented employee with a marker is now saying, sorry.

Baked On Maine's No-AI Instagram Post Is Going Viral

Baked on Maine located at 42 Maine Street in Brunswick, recently shared an Instagram carousel that has people talking and laughing.

The post shows one of the restaurant’s young employees named Levi, holding up handwritten signs announcing that they’ve “learned their lesson” and won’t use AI anymore.

Instead?  Levi will be doing the creative work himself. Genius.

The pictures feature his hand-drawn interpretation of one of Baked on Maine’s burgers, complete with an appropriately dramatic “Holy Cow!” and a towering stack of what appears to be every delicious ingredient imaginable.

Apparently, Instagram agrees. The post has already racked up more than 30,000 likes, because apparently the internet still has a soft spot for a human with a Sharpie and a dream.

And honestly? We love the energy.

There’s something charming about a local business leaning into the imperfections of handmade creativity instead of trying to make everything look polished, produced and AI-perfect.

So if you’re craving a sandwich, a baked treat, locally roasted coffee and maybe a little proof that humans can still make things pretty damn entertaining, Baked on Maine might be worth a visit.
