One of the Top 20 Places to Celebrate New Year’s Eve 2024 Is in New England

You'll likely think of big ones like New York City, Orlando, Vegas, or even Chicago. Well, according to a recent study by Wallethub, one New England city made the top 20 of best places to celebrate New Year's Eve for 2024.

Turns out, Boston clinched the No. 19 spot beating out places like Philly, D.C., and a number of Texas hot spots.

The major Massachusetts city has a great combo of history, culture, food, entertainment, and nightlife that would be perfect for anyone looking for a memorable New Year’s experience.

You don't have to just be from Boston to enjoy it either. If you're a Mainer looking for a bit more action or a New Hampshire local ready for a festive night out, it's only a couple hours drive to get in on the big end-of-the-year party.

The website said that it compared the 100 most populated U.S. cities across these key dimensions: entertainment and food, costs, and safety and accessibility.

You could certainly find a great restaurant or bar or cozy spot to celebrate, but Boston does have some great events you can attend on New Year's Eve, too.

How about First Night Boston 2025? According to the event's website, this family-friendly tradition has been around since 1976 and features live music, ice sculptures, fireworks, food and more.
