Ocean State Job Lot Is Coming to Brunswick, Maine

We now know what's moving into the former Big Lots location in Brunswick, Maine.

Ocean State Job Lot will take over the Cooks Corner space, marking the 10th store in the state.

You might remember that about a year ago, the Rhode Island-based discount chain opened in the former Big Lots in Auburn. Now it's doing it again in Brunswick.

Where Is Ocean State Job Lot Opening in Brunswick, Maine?

Ocean State Job Lot will be opening at 8 Gurnet Road, Suite 8, in Brunswick, Maine.

Big Lots occupied that space for well over 20 years before its closure in 2024, and prior to that, according to Zayre88, it was the location of a Porteous.

Ocean State Job Lot joins the ever-changing Cooks Corner Mall, which recently had a former Sears turned into a Hobby Lobby.

Sometimes it's hard to believe so many of the stores that were once there, like KB Toys, Bookland and Strawberries, are truly gone. In fact, I think TJ Maxx is one of the longest mainstays of the mall as of 2026.

When Is Ocean State Job Lot Opening in Brunswick, Maine?

While a number of hiring signs cover the windows around the new Ocean State Job Lot space, there aren't any grand opening dates listed on them.

The same goes for online. Ocean State Job Lot's website simply lists "coming soon."

It also looks like they are still working on getting the interior ready as well, so it may be a little before any opening announcements.

Hopefully, "coming soon" is within the next few months!
