These 2 Brunswick, Maine, Breweries Are Both Moving to New Locations

If you weren't aware, Moderation Brewing and Black Pug Brewing in Brunswick are both moving to new locations.

Thankfully, the two breweries aren't going far; instead, they're simply shifting to new places in the town.

That means you can still get their crisp, cold beers just in some fresh new digs.

Where Is Moderation Brewing in Brunswick, Maine, Moving?

Moderation Brewing shared its moving plans back in 2023, revealing a desire to expand to a larger space, ideally the old fire station.

The brewery project, along with plans for affordable housing there, was later approved by the town council. Since then, renovation and work on Brunswick’s Historic Central Fire Station for the mixed-use commercial and residential complex have been underway.

Now, as of May 2026, the prospect of Moderation Brewing's new location opening is almost a reality.

The brewery shared on Facebook that its last day at 103 Maine Street would be Saturday, May 16.

While an exact grand opening date for the new location at 21 Town Hall Place hasn't been revealed yet, odds are, it's not terribly far away.

Where Is Black Pug Brewing in Brunswick, Maine, Moving?

Funnily enough, Black Pug Brewing is moving from its spot on 30 Bath Road to a very familiar one: 103 Maine Street.

That's right, the site of what will be the former Moderation Brewing. A little brewery switcheroo.

Black Pug Brewing shared the official announcement on Instagram in April, noting the shift to downtown Brunswick as well as new changes in store.

Again, there hasn't been an announcement for when the grand opening at the new Main Street location will be, but the Instagram post does note that they are moving over once Moderation moves out.

Definitely sooner rather than later.

It's exciting knowing that while Moderation Brewing and Black Pug Brewing are leaving their original spots, they are getting something of a refresh upgrade and staying in Brunswick.

Keep an eye out for opening news because it certainly feels right around the corner at this point.

Both Moderation Brewing and Black Pug Brewing first opened in 2018.
