WATCH: One Jerk of a Fan Gets Escorted Out of Fenway Park After Heckling Player
The Boston Red Sox's seven-game winning streak came to a halt on Wednesday, August 6, at Fenway Park, where they lost to the Kansas City Royals 7-3. But that was only part of the frustration that night that went beyond the scoreboard.
Heckler in the Stands
Boston started strong with a quick lead, but the Royals took control midgame and never looked back. As if that wasn't bad enough, the game got ruined for a lot of people and their families when a fan repeatedly heckled Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers with loud swearing and personal insults.
Devers has been in the Red Sox lineup since he joined the team in 2017. Who knows why this guy in the stands was heckling him, but his language was uncalled for in a family setting like this. Many f-bombs were flung at Devers, and parents weren't happy because several children were being loudly exposed to the vulgar language.

TikTok user @giabeeya posted a clip that she took just a few rows away from the heckler, showing the man yelling aggressively and ignoring repeated pleas to stop. Fans around him appeared unhappy, and after several minutes of disruptive behavior, He got what was coming to him.

Nearby fans cheered as the man was removed, clearly relieved to see the game return to normal.
While the Red Sox couldn’t rally back on the field, the crowd’s support for Devers and basic respect was clear. As one commenter said, "Boo the play, not the player.”
Sometimes, the biggest win is keeping it classy in the stands.
