If you’ve been waiting for the annual Geiger's Halloween extravaganza, consider this your official heads-up: it’s going BIG again this year.

And yes, there’s a secret password. Peter Geiger, ehem sorry, Mr. Halloween, will reveal it exclusively to Lizzy & Chris on 94.9 WHOM Friday morning, October 30th, just one day before Halloween.

So, you’re going to want to tune in because apparently we’re treating this password like classified government information.

Now let’s talk candy. Last year’s supply was around 9,000 pieces, which apparently wasn’t enough for Peter’s liking. This year? 14,000 candy bars, including 5,000 Reny’s chocolate bars.

nd this lucky little lady, young or old, was the winner of the 50-pound chocolate bar! Emma and her sister Chloe were SO excited to take home the giant chocolate haul last year

When I was little growing up in Lewiston, we would wait SO patiently for that secret password.

I remember being at Montello Elementary School practically counting down the hours until we could finally use it and get to Peter Geiger’s house for Halloween. Back then, it was a much smaller operation, you’d say the password, get your candy and feel like you were part of this very cool little secret.

Now, years later, it’s grown into this huge Halloween tradition, and a lot of us who grew up doing it are now the parents bringing our own kids.

It’s honestly pretty cool to see something that felt so special as a kid become a tradition that’s still making kids excited all these years later.

And because Peter does not understand the concept of “maybe that’s enough,” there will also be giant five-pound candy bars for the 1,000th, 2,000th and 3,000th trick-or-treaters, plus a whopping 25 pounds of Hershey chocolate waiting for someone lucky.

And then there are the bubbles.

Geiger Brothers will have multiple bubble machines pumping out more than 30,000 bubbles per minute, plus 1,500 mini bubble wands for kids to take home. There will even be a wand capable of making enormous bubbles.

Add costumes, decorations, music, thousands of pieces of candy, possible special guests and Peter himself dressed as the Scarecrow, and you’ve got yourself one heck of a Halloween night.

Just remember: password drops Friday morning on 94.9 HOM. Be ready.
