Where to Find the Best Margaritas Around the State of Maine
Whenever people are discussing the best of the best, it's always subjective, especially when it comes to something like a cocktail.
Margaritas can be incredibly subjective. Some enjoy their margaritas tart while others prefer sweet. Some enjoy a little sour mix, while others would prefer if it was left out of the recipe all together.
Over the last several years, multiple different lifestyle blogs and publications have put together lists deeming one place or another the very best in Maine to grab a margarita for Cinco De Mayo, National Margarita Day, or just because you've had a long week. Here are some of their choices.
Terlingua in Portland
While Terlingua toes the line of what type of restaurant they really are, there's never been much debate on whether or not their cocktails are delicious, specifically their margaritas.
Terlingua has an entire section of their menu dedicated to their signature margarita and variations on it. Eat This Not That believes it's the best place in Maine to grab a pure margarita.
Side Street Cafe in Bar Harbor
Starting as a small little joint and expanding to a destination for many, the Side Street Cafe is another place that offers up plenty of delicious food items and libations.
Just like Terlingua, the Side Street Cafe has a portion of their menu dedicated to margaritas. They proclaim that while some have imitated what they serve, nobody can duplicate it. Side Street Cafe is Yelp's choice as the top place in Maine to grab a margarita.
Pedro's in Kennebunk
Arguably the only authentic Mexican restaurant on this list, Pedro's in Kennebunk is the place where locals can find everything from chimichangas to chile relleno.
But it's the tasty margaritas that have pumped the profile of Pedro's over the years, from their classic served with their house sour mix to some of their signature twists that include a pinarita.
