If you're looking to mix it up a little when it comes to your next meal, you might want to consider some of the new restaurants that have opened in Maine.

In 2024, 20+ restaurants debuted in the Pine Tree State, and in the first three months of 2025, at least 13 new spots were introduced.

Well, there are even more options to add to your new restaurant list, as seven different Maine eateries have welcomed their first guests in April 2025.

New Maine Restaurants in April 2025

Pizza fans will certainly be excited for another pizza place hitting the market.

ZA, located in the space that the popular Slab once occupied in Portland, had its opening on April 11.

The restaurant comes from two Maine natives, where the pizza is made with locally sourced toppings and the dough is crafted to make a "crisp, Neapolitan-inspired crust," according to ZA's website.

This new spot comes a month after Cargo Pizza Company and Tomaso’s Pizza and Burger Bar, also both in Portland, opened their doors.

But honestly, you can never have too many pizza places. It's simply more options!

Then there's New Jersey-based Playa Bowls, which opened its first location in Maine in April. Apparently, the lines were long for the grand opening.

This hot spot serves up fresh and colorful superfruit bowls, smoothies, and juices.
