Popular Maine Ski Area Looking to Become All-Season Destination

It's not your imagination when it comes to winter in Maine.

In recent years, many towns and cities accustomed to getting crushed by snow each winter have found less of it reaching the ground.

It's not just snow, either. Warmer temperatures have lingered into December and started earlier in February.

For some smaller ski areas in the state, that has put their money making season on thin ice.

Which is why one well-known ski spot is hatching a plan to make itself winter-proof.

Camden Snow Bowl Planning to Become a Four-Season Destination

According to Unofficial Networks, the Camden Snow Bowl is working diligently on becoming an all-season place to be.

Still in the planning stages, the Camden Snow Bowl has ambitious plans to add hiking and mountain biking trails to their property.

The snow bowl is also considering adding an adventure park as some warm weather flavor with the potential for a zip line attraction to be installed as well.

While the Camden Snow Bowl added a new ticketing center this summer, their ambitious four-season plan would include a new lodge that could open up the possibilities for revenue-driving events, especially in the warmer months.

Camden Snow Bowl Hopes to Match Other Maine Ski Mountains With Summer Tourism

Summer tourism in Maine continues to be a major draw and these proposed changes and improvements to the Camden Snow Bowl are a sign of continuing change in the state.
