Guy Fieri Debuting New Show With an Episode Filmed in New England

Very few individuals reach the level of fame where their name and likeness immediately makes people think of a certain brand or network. But Guy Fieri has reached that level of fame when it comes to Food Network.

For years, Fieri has been hitting the road in his signature Chevy Camaro and visiting the best Diners, Drive-ins and Dives across the nation. As that show became a hit, Fieri then launched Guy's Grocery Games, a cooking competition that takes place inside a grocery store.

With those two monster successes under his belt, Fieri brought together the best chefs in the world for another competition show called Tournament of Champions. You'd think Fieri has enough on his plate, but instead, he's hungry to add another hit to his plate.

According to The Wrap, Guy Fieri is set to debut a new show called Best Bite in Town on Food Network this April. It's a mashup of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives as well as Guy's Grocery Games.

Fieri will send a team of experts led by noted TV host Noah Cappe to small towns and cities across America, and pit restaurants against one another in competition to determine who has the best bite in town. Six spots in each town will be visited, but only one can win the title.

One of the very first episodes of the show will see Cappe and the expert team travel to New Haven, Connecticut. The city is known for its speciality pizza, but similar to Portland, Maine, the food scene in New Haven has burst with popularity and new options in recent years.

If season one of Best Bite in Town is another Guy Fieri smash, the show plans to continue to visit different regions of the country in subsequent seasons. There are several other New England cities that could find themselves in the heat of battle.
