The Best Classic Diner in New Hampshire Was Featured on Guy Fieri’s ‘Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives
Manchester, New Hampshire
Who doesn't love Diner food? It's comforting, usually filled with fat and carbs and starts the day off with a full belly that makes you think you won't eat for days.
New Hampshire's Best Classic Diner, according to lovefood.com, is the Red Arrow Diner in Manchester. This 24 hour restaurant has been around since 1922.

How Can Guy Fieri Not Know What American Chop Suey Is?
The Red Arrow Diner has been featured on Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives." Much to my surprise, while taking a tour of the kitchen, we found out that Guy Fieri, famous TV chef, had never heard of American Chop Suey. How can he call himself a chef?
In Guy's defense, I've often wondered myself how we can call it "chop suey." How did that name catch on?
The Diner is open all the time, so late at night if you get a hankerin' for American Chop Suey, the Red Arrow makes it all the time. Personally, I would rather go for their Whoopie Pies, but you do you.
The diner has been able to keep it's vintage look with red brick walls and a neon signs.
You might think with the demand of the diner, it would be a big place, it's not. If you've never been, I'm guessing it has about 8-ish booths and maybe 15 stools at the counter. On a busy Sunday morning, you'll have to wait outside.
Politicians make this place a must stop during election season and celebrities go there when they are in town.
If you are a celebrity and you are spotted at the diner, your name might go on a gold plate in the booth you sat in, depending on how famous you are, I imagine.
The Manchester location is one of four in New Hampshire. The others are in Nashua, Concord and Londonderry.
Everything is homemade and delicious at the Red Arrow diner. In addition to the Whoopie Pies, the pork pie with gravy is, in fact, just like my Mama made.
