The class of 2020 certainly had a rough go of things this year. What should have been the epic end to their high school careers quickly ended up being months of online learning, no prom, and likely a very unusual graduation.

In an effort to make this time a little more special for seniors, recent Bonny Eagle graduate, Ellie Vance started a Facebook group for community members to rally around these young adults for a little encouragement as they embark on a new chapter.

The group is called Adopt a Maine 2020 High School Senior. In this group, seniors hoping to be adopted post to the group giving some details about themselves such as where they graduated, accomplishments, future plans, and interests. Then the adopters come in! You can choose anyone who has not yet been adopted. Once you find someone, comment that you would like to adopt them and message them to find out more about them or if they're in need of any supplies in particular. From there you can arrange how your gift makes it to the grad. Easy peasy!

So join the group today and make a difference in our Maine grads! Congrats to all!
