Lewiston Planning Board Approves Main Street Dunkin’ Move

The Dunkin' on Main Street in Lewiston across from Central Maine Medical Central will be moving up the street with plans to open this fall.

According to the Sun Journal, The Lewiston Planning board approved construction at 420 Main Street for a new Dunkin', less than half a mile up the street. The new location is a vacant lot that has been for sale since at least 2007 according to photos on Google Street View.

The current location of Dunkin' has traffic problems. It's not an easy place to get in and out of and traffic can often back out onto the busy section of Main Street near the hospital.

Construction is expected to begin immediately with the new Dunkin' planning to open in the fall and will feature two drive-thru lanes.
