Lisbon Street KFC and Taco Bell Is Getting an Update

The owners of the Kentucky Fried Chicken and Taco Bell on Lisbon Street in Lewiston are putting $200,000 into some store updates.

The Lisbon Street KFC/Taco Bell hybrid is the only Taco Bell location in the Lewiston Auburn area after a brand new Taco Bell restaurant on Center Street abruptly closed. The KFC is one of just two locations in Lewiston and Auburn. This location must be doing pretty well as the Sun Journal reports that a $200,000 renovation of the building is about to begin.

The renovation includes new signage, paint and awnings and the dining room, lobby and bathrooms will be remodeled. The restaurant has been at this location for decades and it sounds like this will be a much needed modernization.

Could it possibly take on a look like the Westbrook Kentucky Fried Chicken and Taco Bell has?

We'll have to wait and see. No word on when construction will begin or if the restaurant will have to close for the upgrades.
