The electric feature on vehicles lately have been trending upwards in a super positive manner. Car dealerships all over the world have been displaying more and more vehicles with an electric engine that you'd never expect could have one, and it's pretty cool.

Recently, I've become one of those people who believe in the benefits of an electric vehicle as I just bought the new 4xe Jeep Wrangler. It can run on gas only or has an electric option which has led me to research places around Maine with a charging station.

To my surprise, there are actually lots of locations where you can leave and charge your car around this area that I never knew about.

According to efficiencymaine.com, there are 449 station locations and 987 EVSE ports around Maine available to the public.

I actually found a charging station locator you can now use that will map out every location accessible to you.

Loading alternative fueling station locator...

Here's how it works (as told by efficiencymaine.com):

"The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Alternative Fuels Data Center (AFDC)’s interactive Alternative Fueling Station Locator displays public electric vehicle charging stations installed throughout Maine, updated daily. An electric charging station appears as one point on the map, regardless of the number of charging outlets at that location".

Have you had a chance to check this map out? Did you know about this? Do you drive an electric car?
